What’s a podcast, and what is List-en up!?
Podcasts, including List-en up!, are downloadable multimedia files. They can contain audio, video, or even a simple series of pictures or text. Contrary to a common misconception, you don’t need an iPod or iTunes to listen to podcasts. You can listen to List-en up! online, as well as download the file in either .M4A (with pictures and links) or .MP3 (audio only) formats. You can also listen or subscribe to List-en up! with a variety of other programs and sites, including Odeo, iTunes, and Podcast Alley. The best thing about downloading the List-en up! programs? You can listen to them whenever you like on your computer or portable MP3 player, and even burn the files to CD and listen in your car.

Who is Tristan?
Tristan Schmid is host and producer of List-en up! He lives in an 85+ year old house in Indianapolis with his wife and three female dogs (two adopted mutts and one yellow lab — all spoiled), and spends his free time reading, listening to music, producing surround-sound audio, and skiing (though the “mountains” of central Indiana leave something to be desired.)
